Every filmmaker today talks about the super 8 movie films they made as a kid... and I am no different. In middle school I was making James Bond parodies, and then I plastered the inside of my friend's garage with newspapers, and spray painted them all to make a "brain set" for a movie I showed in my biology class about how our minds work.

I grew up in Glendale - a suburb of Los Angeles, majored in Cinema/Theater at USC. I held weekly acting workshops in my little apartment where a bunch of actors chipped in a doollar each per session and we practiced our acting and directing. I soon started directing stage plays at theaters such as Burbank Little Theater, taught acting workshops there, and at times even had to write plays with roles specific to the individuals in the theater group... and taking place on the last set a theater company left behind.

Then... I wrote and directed my first 35mm feature - a suspense thriller called "Secret Sins". The big crew grew even bigger and soon we were going overbudget on a production getting bigger and bigger still, but it was a tremendous experience for all of us, and the movie turned out really nice.

I then shot my next feature simpler - "CyberSex Kittens". That was a fun shoot.

I worked under several company names, then came up with CraniumCandy.com, since the movies were such "brain candy"... sinful junk food to massage your cranium!

After the John Bobbitt incident, I came up with the idea of a horror parody where a severed penis comes back to life and attacks girls running around in their panties (I had too much red wine when I sat down to write this one, I think). I shot "Revenge of Mr. Willie". I tell you, if you've got to work long hard days, you might as well do it surrounded by a bunch of lingerie-clad babes! Here is my favorite review of "Revenge of Mr. Willie": http://www.videoaddicts.com/vidcol15.htm#willie

Well, I've learned to overcome huge obstabcles during a low budget shoot, but have I mentioned the "force" behind these movies really coming together? I have been blessed with incredible and dedicated talent (well, a few nightmares too, but that's for another webpage story sometime). On all my projects, the hardworking actors and actresses have really pulled through.

I had raw footage ready to be edited... scripts waiting to be shot. I set out to raise money, so I drafted business proposals... and waited ... I think those proposals lined the litter boxes of every cat-owning would-be investor from here to San Francisco. Well, I realized I suck at raising money... but I just had to make it work with what I could scrape together.

I followed "Mr. Willie" right away with "Sex, Chocolate & Zombie Republicans".

The next few projects were short movies, "Susan Goes Psycho" - a comedy, and "Into Thin Air", which was a supernatural short. These were featured on internet movie sites. Then when I shot "Wacky Adventures of 5 Florida Ballot Counters" after the 2000 election fiasco, that was number one on Robofilms.com for several months.

In order to get my videos edited, I was ready to wash editors' cars in exchange for time at the edit bay... but instead I started editing my own stuff. I did a short called "Counterfeit Treasures" where the drawings on a girls' sketchboard talks back to her. This took countless hours, and I was so excited to see that it worked really well. (See this in the MONTAGE preview).

Although I mainly ran the video camera, I did some stills too. I took actors' headshots for awhile, but I like having someone else shoot the stills on my movie sets.

I met several models who needed video on themselves, so we created some fun videos. I shot interviews they could use, plus acting projects that showed off their talents and would give them credits and something to build a fan-base. One

In the meantime, I wrote a more serious dramatic piece about teens locked in a facility together, centering on an identity theft scam. I was thrilled that it won Best Feature in the Golden Palmetto International Film Competition out of Miami.

I am currently editing a short and a steamy feature called "Naked Shadows" which should be out this summer. I have been bouncing back and forth from editing, shooting features, to doing model video shoots. Do take a look at my movie previews... your comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

Thanks,
